James Piot fails to make cut at 122nd US Open

James Piot misses the cut by one shot at the US Open

What was a promising start for the reigning US Amateur Champion, has turned into a massive disappointment as James Piot has failed to make the cut at the 122nd US Open.

Piot opened his tournament with a 69, one-under first round and was in a great position to make a move during Friday’s second round. Unfortunately, Piot struggled on Friday, shooting a 5-over 75, and ending his first two rounds at 4-over, missing the cut by one stroke.
