Tennessee announced the signing of Filip Apltauer on Monday.
Apltauer is a native of Prague, Czech Republic, and signed an institutional aid agreement with the University of Tennessee.
He is the fifth freshman to sign with Tennessee for the upcoming men’s tennis season.
“We are really looking forward to getting Filip here in the fall,” Tennessee associate head coach James McKie said in a press release. “He is an exceptional young man with a great family. He has a unique game style, and we believe he will adapt very quickly to life in Knoxville. He will help us tremendously on the singles and doubles courts.”
