James Harden ruled out for Sixers vs. Nuggets, to miss 4th straight

The Philadelphia 76ers have ruled James Harden out for their matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Monday.

The Philadelphia 76ers are going to be very short-handed when they visit the Denver Nuggets on Monday to finish their four-game road trip. The Sixers are looking to halt a two-game skid, but they will need others to step up.

Philadelphia was already going to be without Joel Embiid, who was ruled out due to his calf tightness. Now they will be without James Harden as well. It looked as if The Beard was trending toward making a return to the court, but the Sixers have ruled out the future Hall of Famer due to left Achilles soreness.

It makes sense to sit Harden. An Achilles injury is nothing to play with at this stage of the season. The playoffs are weeks away, and the Sixers need to think about the postseason at this point. It doesn’t make sense to push him in this case.

Tipoff from Ball Arena is set for 9:30 p.m. EDT.
