In what seemed like a chaotic Sunday night for basketball, things got even wilder when multiple league sources reported that Blake Griffin agreed to join the Brooklyn Nets. After the All-Star Game, the media made sure to ask James Harden about his team’s new signing.
“He passed up more money to obviously stay in Detroit, he wants to win and he wants to have an opportunity to play meaningful minutes. I’m assuming that’s the reason why he came.”
Harden also noted Griffin’s growth as a player.
“As of these last couple of years, he’s knocking down the 3-ball a little bit better, ball-handling is a lot better.”
Harden understands how important it was for Griffin to have improved these parts of his game, especially with all of the injuries he has been dealing with throughout his career. In Brooklyn, this will only make the offense more lethal than it already is.
