Following reports of Russell Westbrook wanting out of Houston, the news about Harden quickly followed, with the two most likely destinations emerging in the Eastern Conference: the Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers, who happen to be run by former Rockets boss Daryl Morey, who also wrote a personal letter in the Houston Chronicle to James Harden on his way out.

Houston was talking a big game about keeping Harden as recently as yesterday but they may have already shown their hand with yesterday’s deal of Robert Covington to Portland for Trevor Ariza and two first round picks, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
