James Conner, Marquise Brown day-to-day with injuries

The X-rays on Conner’s leg and Brown’s arm were negative. They have a chance of playing in the Cardinals’ season finale.

The Arizona Cardinals will begin their practice preparation for their season finale against the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday. They could be without their top runner and top receiver, at least to start the week.

Running back James Conner and receiver Marquise Brown are nursing injuries they suffered in the Cardinals’ 20-19 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Conner injured his shin in the game and Brown injured his arm.

While neither appears to be serious, it is unknown whether they will be able to play in the final game of the season.

Both are considered day-to-day, said Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury on Monday.

“(Conner) is day to day. That’s all I heard as of now,” he said. “It was nothing major, which is good. X-rays were negative, but we’ll see how he feels the next couple of days.”

As for Brown, “The same, is what I’ve been told. I haven’t heard anything new, but it wasn’t anything that showed up on the x-ray.”

The Cardinals will release their first injury report of the week Wednesday afternoon.
