James Conner lands on IR, will miss at least 4 games

Conner twisted his knee on Sunday and will not be out for at least the next four games. He has 364 rushing yards and two touchdowns this year.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost another key player to injury and will miss several games. The latest is running back James Conner.

The team announced he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. He injured it on Sunday on a 35-yard rush.

Landing on injured reserve means that he must miss at least four games.

At minimum, he will miss the Cardinals’ games on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns and their home contest in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens.

The earliest he can come back is in Week 10 at home against the Atlanta Falcons.

Entering Week 5, he was third in the NFL in rushing. He had 46 yards on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Through five games, he has averaged 5.4 yards per rushing attempt for 364 yards and two touchdowns.
