The Cincinnati Bengals have a special one with Ja’Marr Chase.
That’s a duh by now, of course. But it got another stamp of approval this week when Chase was yet again named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week, this time for his 266-yard, three-touchdown outburst against the Kansas City Chiefs that lifted his team to an AFC North crown.
That was a record-breaking performance, and so are his 1,429 receiving yards over 16 games. He’s scored 13 times on 79 catches and averages a stunning 18.1 yards per catch.
Alongside the weekly honor due to his Week 17 showing, Chase also got to hear Cris Carter say he’s the best rookie receiver ever, even better than somebody like Randy Moss.
Best rookie wide receiver performance of the year ✅
Best big game performance by a rookie this year ✅
Best wide receiver performance by any receiver in any game ✅The number one spot on @PSchrags' Fab Five was a no doubter. (via @gmfb) pic.twitter.com/TbNXSaNVzH
