Ja’Marr Chase says he’s been in contact with the Cincinnati Bengals and likes the idea of a Joe Burrow reunion.

The epic pro day by Ja’Marr Chase naturally followed with a media session — where the Cincinnati Bengals came up in the conversation.

Let Chase tell it, he’s already talked with the Bengals during the draft process. And obviously, he says he “wouldn’t mind going back with Joe (Burrow),” after their exploits together at LSU, per The Advocate’s Brooks Kubena.

Chase was downright stunning at his pro day on Wednesday, posting better-than-expected numbers. He was the No. 1 wideout in the draft class before the day but numbers comparable to someone like D.K. Metcalf sure didn’t hurt his odds of going in the top five.

With Burrow under center in 2019, Chase had 1,780 yards and 20 scores. In Cincinnati, he’d join Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd and Joe Mixon as a key piece around Burrow in an on-paper offense with huge upside.

The Bengals still might opt for offensive line help in the form of a prospect like Penei Sewell, but it’s pretty clear they’re doing their research on Chase. And Burrow has apparently told the Bengals he’d like the reunion, too.
