Jamal Crawford unveils wildly high expectations for Victor Wembanyama

Despite the already-high expectations, Jamal Crawford thinks San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama can be better than people expect.

The very second the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA Draft Lottery this past summer, their future was sealed. They won the right to select Victor Wembanyama, who was heralded as one of the greatest basketball prospects in league history. And so far, he looks ready to live up to the hype.

The weight of San Antonio basketball is being placed on the 20-year-old Frenchman’s shoulders as the entire world expects him to lead them to wild success. Championships are the bare minimum for Wembanyama, and entering the GOAT conversation could seriously be in play if he plays well enough.

But despite the already ridiculous expectations being placed on the youngster, long-time NBA guard Jamal Crawford thinks he will end up overachieving. (H/t The Draymond Green Show)

What does overachieving even look like for Wembanyama? No matter what it is, the fact that former players are already handing out such high praise to the Spurs rookie is a testament to his talent.
