Jamal Crawford to sit out Nets’ final Disney bubble scrimmage

Jamal Crawford won’t play in a game for the Brooklyn Nets until it counts.

Jamal Crawford’s Brooklyn Nets debut will not be made on Monday against the Utah Jazz.

Nets head coach Jacque Vaughn ruled the veteran guard out for Brooklyn’s final Disney bubble scrimmage on a Zoom call with reporters on Sunday, per Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News.

Crawford has not appeared in an NBA game since April 9 of the 2018-19 season when he was a member of the Phoenix Suns.

After Monday’s scrimmage against the Jazz, Brooklyn won’t play again until Friday at 2:30 p.m. — their first seeding game, which will be against the Orlando Magic.

In addition to Crawford, Donta Hall will not be available for the Nets on Monday, per Winfield.

Hall did not have his first workout with the team until July 24, the day before Brooklyn’s 124-119 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Nets tipoff against the Jazz at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
