Anytime you break Lions team records set by Billy Sims and Barry Sanders, it’s quite an accomplishment. That’s what Detroit RB Jamaal Williams did on Sunday.
When Williams scored on a 1-yard TD run in the second quarter, his second of the afternoon, it marked his eighth rushing touchdown of the season. That is one better than Sims posted back in 1980 and Sanders matched a decade later in 1991.
Williams has now scored two rushing TDs in four different games over the first seven, also a team record.
