Orlando Magic rookies Jalen Suggs and Franz Wagner will each start on Monday night versus the Boston Celtics on the road to kick off preseason play, head coach Jamahl Mosley said.
Mosley views the preseason opener as a bit of an extension of training camp and an opportunity to look at different lineups on the court. The team will also start Gary Harris, Terrence Ross and Wendell Carter Jr. during the contest.
The group will play in the 20-minute range, Mosley indicated.
Of course, preseason lineups can vary from the regular season but there was some curiosity about how the team would handle its backcourt minutes in the opener. The early indication is Suggs will lineup at point guard with Cole Anthony coming off the bench.

The contest on Monday will give the Magic an opportunity to begin experimenting with rotations ahead of the regular season. The team has several positions seemingly up in the air so it will be worth watching which lineups perform well in Boston.
