Just by looking at the scoreboard, it’s easy to see which side of the ball held the Rams back against the Seahawks on Sunday. Seattle won easily, 20-9, keeping the Rams out of the end zone for 60 minutes.
But even as obvious as it was that the offense was to blame, Jalen Ramsey wasn’t going to point fingers after the loss. He said the Rams lose as a team, and if it’s the defense’s job to carry the load, they need to be better than they have been, too.
It was a strong show of leadership for the Rams cornerback, not allowing this disappointing result to divide the locker room.
Rams CB Jalen Ramsey: "Losing is frustrating, but we do it as a team. That’s our job to pick (the offense) up, and if it’s going to be our job to lead this team, then we need to lead even better than what we’ve been putting on the field. I’m not here to put it on anybody else."

He added that he’s going to put a lot of the responsibility for getting the Rams back on track on himself, trying to step up even more as a leader in the locker room and on the practice field.
More Jalen Ramsey postgame
"We got to get it together ASAP, and it's going to start from the top down. I'm going to put a lot of that on me, it's going to start with me to try to help this team, try to be a leader, practice better, encourage guys, play better, whatever it takes."— Stu Jackson (@StuJRams) December 28, 2020
Seattle was held to only 292 total yards on offense and scored 20 points. The Rams defense did its job by limiting one of the most explosive units in the NFL, holding DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett both under 60 yards receiving.
If the offense had just scored its season average in points, the Rams would have clinched a playoff berth and would be eyeing an NFC West title right now instead of needing a win (or Bears loss) in Week 17 to make the dance.
