Jalen Ramsey hasn’t yet received a contract extension from the Rams, but he’s bound to be paid handsomely at some point in the near future. Yet, before he even gets that much-deserved payday, he’s giving back to the community with a sizable donation to help those in his hometown of Nashville.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported Wednesday that Ramsey has pledged to donate $1 million to the Purpose Preparatory School in Nashville, which is “recognized as one of the top academic performing schools that accelerates the achievement of economically disadvantaged students.”
Ramsey’s donation will help underprivileged students by supporting this prep school to give kids a better education.

Ramsey has done everything right since joining the Rams, and really since being drafted by the Jaguars in 2016. On the field, he’s been a star cornerback, and off it, he’s been supportive in the community.
Here’s his statement regarding the donation, as shared by Jim Wyatt.
I chose to support Purpose Prep because it is important for every child to have the opportunity to receive a great education, and the Purpose Prep programs are designed for underprivileged children in my hometown to have access to those services. I believe in its mission and want to help level the playing field since a solid elementary education is the foundation to a successful future.
