Leonard Fournette went unclaimed on waivers after the Jaguars released him on Tuesday, but it didn’t take him long to find a new home – and he didn’t have to go far, either.
The Buccaneers agreed to a deal with Fournette on Wednesday night, bringing yet another offensive weapon to Tampa Bay alongside Tom Brady, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski and Mike Evans.
Jalen Ramsey is good friends with Fournette and although he didn’t publicly recruit him to the Rams, he’s thrilled that Jacksonville let him go. He’s also happy the Buccaneers picked him up, which means the two now get to play against each other.
I love it!! @_fournette I’m happy for you family!..
