When asked who he thinks are the toughest wide receivers to guard in the NFL, Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey listed Tennessee Titans wideout Julio Jones in his top three.
Ramsey was definitive in saying Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is the best in the league right now, but did include Jones in his top three of the toughest players at the position to cover. Cleveland Browns wideout Odell Beckham Jr. was also included.
“I probably got Julio because Julio just… Julio can do it all,” Ramsey said on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast (you can check out the video clip right here, but warning: it contains NSFW language).
Interestingly enough, Ramsey will face two of those three in 2021, as the Cardinals (Weeks 4 and 14) and Titans (Week 9) are both on the Rams’ schedule.
Ramsey was among many players around the league who attempted to recruit Jones before he was dealt, and after the trade went down he couldn’t believe the future Hall of Famer was acquired for what the Titans got him for.
Imma have myself a good Sunday but this is all it took for a generational guy & we were “out” of the Julio sweepstakes!? Wow 🤦🏾♂️ we woulda been unstoppable forreal with all them weapons lol! Julio to the 615 fye tho! https://t.co/MGp8HxbyKl

With Jones in the mix, along with budding star A.J. Brown and superstar rusher Derrick Henry, Tennessee’s offense figures to be extremely difficult to stop — and Ramsey could experience that firsthand.
