It was another disappointing outing from the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5 versus the Dallas Cowboys, but Jalen Ramsey remained a bright spot on the defense. After logging the first sack of his career on Sunday against the Cowboys, Ramsey joked about trying to catch up to Aaron Donald’s career sack total.
Only 100+ to go to catch up @AaronDonald97 😂 https://t.co/cckeffG2sZ

Ramsey’s first career sack came in the third quarter when the All-Pro cornerback was sent on a blitz off of the edge. The five-time Pro Bowler would take Cooper Rush to the ground and Donald was the first to congratulate him on getting the first sack of his career.
Donald also had a productive day against the Cowboys with six combined tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Two weeks ago versus the Arizona Cardinals, Donald recorded his 100th career sack, so he’s now at 102 total sacks in his illustrious career entering Week 6.
It is a bit surprising that Sunday’s sack was Ramsey’s first of his career, especially with how dynamic he’s been for years at the cornerback position. Even though there could be more sacks in store for Ramsey, he realizes he has some serious catching up to do to get on the same level as Donald in the sack department.
