Auburn and Bruce Pearl were so close from having one of the best backcourts in college basketball this season, it seems.
On Tuesday, Jalen Green, a 5-star guard out of Prolific Prep in Napa, Calif. who decided to go pro instead of attending college for a year, spoke with Jeff Goodman and answered a question on everyone’s mind: where would have he had gone to college?
“I would have went to Auburn,” Green said.
Happy 19th birthday, @JalenGreen. 🎁
Tomorrow, he'll make his much anticipated debut for the #GLeagueIgnite but @GoodmanHoops found out where he would have gone to college… pic.twitter.com/Lgru9LsGfB

Oof. Green, the No. 2 overall player in the 2020 signing class, makes his debut for G League Ignite.
Previously, Green had said that he would have attended Memphis and not Auburn.
It’s fun to jus think about Sharife Cooper and Green in the same backcourt, isn’t it?
