Jake Paul: ‘I’m bigger in the sport than (Conor McGregor) is’

Jake Paul: “I’m bigger in the sport than (Conor McGregor) is.”

Is Jake Paul a bigger attraction than MMA star Conor McGregor? Paul thinks so.

And the YouTuber-turned-boxer holds out hope that he’ll meet McGregor in the ring after years of calling out the Irishman. Paul, who is considerably bigger than McGregor, believes he’d beat him.

Paul (7-1, 4 KOs) is scheduled to fight Andre August on Friday in Orlando, Florida (DAZN). McGregor hasn’t fought since he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021.

“McGregor would be pretty freaking massive and entertaining and fun. I would beat his a–,” Paul told DAZN Boxing. “… He won’t fight me. At this point it’s funny how it went from me calling him out and that seeming crazy to now me being bigger in the sport than he is.

“And him knowing my skill level is greater than his in such a short amount of time. Life’s crazy.”

Paul is 5-0 against MMA fighters (Ben Askren, Tyrone Woodley (twice), Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz). McGregor, 35, has taken part in one boxing match, his 10th-round knockout loss to Floyd Mayweather in 2017.

August (10-1, 5 KOs) is only the second boxer Paul will have faced, after his loss to Tommy Fury last February.
