As the Los Angeles Lakers continue to spiral downward, one clear scapegoat has emerged for their troubles: head coach Darvin Ham.
As the team has lost 10 of its last 13 games, an increasing number of fans have been asking for Ham to be fired. Those calls have grown louder and more desperate with each loss.
Although as recently as a few days ago it appeared the front office wasn’t going to fire Ham, perhaps that is starting to change.
One reporter said Sunday’s game against the Clippers will be crucial for the coach to keep his job. In addition, Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer said there is “lots of chatter from people around the organization” regarding a lack of faith in Ham.
Lakers Darvin Ham on the hot seat?
"There's just a lot of chatter from people around the organization that he's [Darvin Ham] not the guy that's gonna be able to get this thing over the hump… The noise is very loud, there's a lot of people very frustrated…

Fischer also said agents of players on the team are calling the front office and complaining that their players aren’t getting enough opportunities.
Based on the Lakers’ history, it will likely take something drastic for Ham to actually get a pink slip during the season. But the team appears on its way to losing a drastic number of games in bunches, if it isn’t there already, which could perhaps expedite his dismissal.
