It turned out to be harmless for the Philadelphia Eagles, who defeated the New York Giants, 22-21, Thursday at the Linc. However, Jake Elliott’s miss from 29 yards proved costly for one bettor.
The missed field goal heading into halftime was the difference between the Eagles leading 13-7 and the eventual 10-7 advantage they took into the break.
One wagerer in Las Vegas, per BetMGM, placed a $250,000 bet on the Eagles minus-3 points in the first half. Had Elliott connected, the bettor would have been $238,095.25 richer.

However, it wasn’t a total loss as the halftime score of 10-7 did allow the bet to become a “push.”
This is the same kicker who once hit a 61-yarder against the Giants.
