Jacksonville head coach Doug Pederson expressed confidence that the Jaguars will remain motivated for the final five games of their season despite the playoffs being out of reach.

“I don’t, because that’s up to me,” Pederson said Wednesday. “That’s up to me to make sure that these guys don’t throw in the towel, wave the white flag. So that’s on me to make sure that doesn’t happen. I won’t let that happen.

“We’ve got great leadership in that locker room, and I’ll lean on those guys to help me with that.”

The chance to play spoiler, in a way, to a divisional opponent could keep the Jaguars’ spirits up as they prepare for their first of two matchups with the Titans.
