Jaguars to keep Mike Glennon as starter vs. Titans in Week 14

The Titans faced Gardner Minshew the last time they played the Jags.

When the Jacksonville Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans at TIAA Bank Stadium in Week 14, quarterback Mike Glennon will be the team’s starter, head coach Doug Marrone stated on Sunday.

“I think that I’m going to go with him (Glennon),” Marrone said after the loss to the Minnesota Vikings, per John Oehser of Jaguars.com. “I think he still gives us the best chance to win as of right now so I’m going to stick with him right now for this week.”

Glennon is the third starting quarterback the Jags have used this season, with Gardner Minshew and Jake Luton being the other two.

Minshew was under center when Tennessee faced Jacksonville in Week 2 and threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns to two picks in the 33-30 loss. For his career, Minshew is 1-1 versus the Titans and has completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 543 yards and five touchdowns to two picks.

Glennon was solid for the Jags in his first start in Week 12, but stumbled in Week 13 with three turnovers. However, Jacksonville has been competitive overall with the veteran under center after losing to the Cleveland Browns and Vikings by a combined total of five points.

The Titans and Jags will kick off at noon CT on Sunday.
