The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former Tennessee Titans cornerback Tramaine Brock, the team announced on Sunday.
Brock was claimed off waivers by the Titans late last season after the team’s secondary was decimated by injuries to Adoree’ Jackson and Malcolm Butler.
Brock played in seven games for Tennessee (including playoffs) and performed admirably , although he certainly had his issues, particularly with tackling. In four regular season games, Brock finished with 13 combined tackles, two passes defended and two tackles for loss.
The Jaguars had a clear need at cornerback after Rashaan Melvin opted out of the 2020 season. Brock figures to play a significant role as a result.
Of course, being that he’s with an in-division rival, the Titans will see Brock twice in 2020, with the first meeting against the Jaguars set to take place in Week 2 at Nissan Stadium. Tennessee will go to Jacksonville in Week 14.
Brock spent the majority of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, but has also played for the Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals.
