Jaguars’ Shaquill Griffin, Jamal Agnew ruled out vs. Giants

Tre Herndon is expected to get the start for the Jaguars at cornerback.

The Jacksonville Jaguars ruled out cornerback Shaquill Griffin along with wide receiver and return specialist Jamal Agnew for a Week 7 game against the New York Giants.

In the team’s injury report Friday, there were four players listed as questionable: defensive linemen Folorunso Fatukasi and DaVon Hamilton, wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr., and linebacker Foye Oluokun.

Fatukasi, Hamilton, Jones, and Oluokun were all listed as questionable last week, but Fatukasi and Jones were later downgraded to out and did not travel with the team to Indianapolis.

Fifth-year cornerback Tre Herndon, who has 30 career starts with the Jaguars, will be in line to take over for Griffin in the starting lineup. Wide receiver Christian Kirk is expected to take over punt return duties.

The Giants ruled wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney, as well as pass rushers Azeez Ojulari and Oshane Ximines.

Golladay and Toney have combined for only four receptions for 22 yards so far this season.
