The Jaguars signed defensive end Joe Gaziano to their practice squad on Tuesday, reuniting with the veteran lineman after releasing him from the unit on Dec. 3.
Jacksonville’s practice squad now stands at 17 members. A corresponding move was not required after the Jaguars released defensive end D.J. Coleman from the unit last week.
Gaziano originally joined Jacksonville’s 90-man offseason roster in August, following his former defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen from the Atlanta Falcons. He was released during preseason roster cuts and joined the Jaguars’ practice squad before the regular season.
Gaziano was promoted to Jacksonville’s active roster for two games in October, against the New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers. He recorded two tackles in those appearances.
A fifth-year pro out of Northwestern, Gaziano has logged 26 total tackles including two for loss, one sack and one defended pass over 25 games and one start in his NFL career, with the Los Angeles Chargers, Falcons and Jaguars.
