Jaguars’ remaining 2022 schedule ranks among the NFL’s easiest

The Jaguars have a chance to tally a lot of wins against a cushy schedule.

The Jacksonville Jaguars rank among the best teams in the NFL in several metrics, including Football Outsiders’ DVOA which has the team fourth, but a 2-2 record doesn’t exactly reflect their strong start.

That could change with the Jaguars looking at a relatively cushy schedule the rest of the way.

Based on the power rankings at Pro Football Focus, only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have an easier road ahead.

It’s not just PFF that thinks the Jaguars have a favorable slate of opponents, PowerRankingsGuru.com crunched composite power rankings from several sites and had the Jaguars with the third easiest schedule, as they’ll face teams that are ranked 19.3 on average.

Jacksonville still has two games left on the schedule against the Houston Texans, the NFL’s only winless team. The only three teams on the Jaguars’ schedule that currently have winning records are the 3-1 New York Giants, 3-1 Kansas City Chiefs, and 3-1 Dallas Cowboys.

The Tennessee Titans — who are tied with the Jaguars for the AFC South lead — have the seventh toughest schedule left in the NFL, per PowerRankingsGuru. Among the teams still on the horizon for the Titans are the Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Eagles.
