Urban Meyer’s brief time with the Jaguars hit a staggering new low last weekend when videos of the coach sitting a bar while a younger woman – who wasn’t his wife – danced close to him went viral.
On Monday he offered an awkward explanation for what happened and said he apologized to his team for doing something “stupid” and becoming a “distraction” by his actions.
The Jaguars, who are 0-4 and haven’t won a game since Week 1 of last season, are a total mess right now and that mess has been created by its first-year coach who his making it hard for me to sleep down here in the 904.
But it looks like he’s not going to be fired over this embarrassing situation as Jags’ owner Shad Kahn said in a statement on Tuesday that he’s confident Meyer will be able to get through this and lead his team to whatever Meyer can lead this team to:

Yeah, put me in the “not confident” side of this whole thing.
NFL Network’s Michael Silver had an amazing thread of tweets that had one unnamed Jags player saying Meyer has no credibility in the locker room and that players laughed at him after he left the room following his apology.
THREAD 1) The Urban Meyer situation in Jacksonville has reached a crisis point, especially in the locker room. One player told me, 'He has zero credibility in that stadium. He had very little to begin with.'

What. A. Mess.
NFL fans had lots of reactions.
