Jacksonville Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik was the best player in the league at his position, according to his peers.
Matiscik, 27, was named an All-Pro by the NFLPA, which asked players across the league to vote for the best player at their same position and positions they line up against. It’s only the second year the NFLPA has put together a Players’ All-Pro list and no Jaguars players earned the honors a year ago.
It’s not the first postseason honor for Matiscik, who was named to his first career Pro Bowl, despite not finishing top 10 in fan voting.
The AP All-Pro Team, which is voted on by reporters, will be announced sometime in January.
Matiscik joined the Jaguars in 2020 as an undrafted free agent and has played 67 games for the team. In 2023, he led all long snappers in tackles with eight and also forced a fumble and recovered it in a Week 11 win against the Tennessee Titans.
