The Jacksonville Jaguars found themselves on the losing end again on Sunday, as they fell to the Denver Broncos by a score of 23-13. However, they started this game on a high note by scoring on the first drive, which was capped with a 25-yard pass from Trevor Lawrence to Marvin Jones Jr.
Unfortunately, the Jags would not score again until the 5:26 minute mark in the fourth quarter. Though kicker Josh Lambo had a chance to give them six more points, it was kick returner Jamal Agnew who eventually got the Jags their next and last touchdown before Denver bled to clock out on the final series.
The loss marks the Jags 17th in a row dating back to their 1-15 season last year and it puts them at 0-2 in the current season. The road does not get any easier as they will take on a talented Arizona Cardinals squad that is fresh off a strong 38-13 victory against the Tennessee Titans in Week 1.
While anticipation was heavy to see how the Jaguars would respond after last week’s loss to the Houston Texans, here is how Twitter responded to the loss against the Broncos:
All of these things happened last week & today
Denver gave up the game’s 1st TD
Broncos scored late in the first half to take a 10-7 halftime lead
Broncos scored a TD on their 1st drive of the 2nd half
Broncos got a 3Q takeaway & got a FG on the following drive to lead, 20-7

Josh Lambo is 0 for 3 so far this season. He's missed from 55, 52, and 48 yards. Expect to see some kickers worked out this week.

Jaguars had 83 yards on their opening (scripted) drive and then 106 the rest of the day vs the Broncos.
189 total yards is like Gus Bradley early years awful.

Today was the 19th time in Jaguars history that they failed to top 200 yards of total offense.
Last one was Dec. 20, 2018, at Houston.

The defense is getting better, but really need somebody to help find some turnovers #Jaguars played two mediocre QBs and made them look pretty damn good

Lawrence made some great throws, but just a little off with his starting WRs. It's like he didn't get all of the first-team work in camp.
Oh wait.

How does a team look so good on their first series and look so lost the remainder of the game, @Jaguars?
