After being a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Sidney Jones (Achilles) didn’t participate in Thursday’s session. While there is time before Sunday’s game, his absence could be a bad sign as the team has already placed another starting cornerback, Tre Herndon, on Reserve/ COVID-19 this week.

With Herndon out, and the possibility for Jones to join him, the Jags will likely have to turn to a rookie duo of Luq Barcoo and Chris Claybrooks, who was designated to return from injured reserve this week.

The Jags also had one other notable change to their injury report and that was the participation of tight end Tyler Eifert (quad), who was limited after missing Wednesday’s session.

The only new addition to the Jags’ injury report Thursday was the listing of tight end James O’Shaugnessy, who was only listed because he had a scheduled day off. Meanwhile, notables James Robinson, Adam Gotsis, and Josh Jones remained limited as did backup cornerback Greg Maybin.
