With training camp just over a month away and the league planning to move forward with having a season, the Jacksonville Jaguar — like many teams — have not signed their full 2020 rookie class. That includes their two first-round picks C.J. Henderson and K’Lavon Chaisson.
Of course, the reasoning behind the Jags and NFL having a slower signing process than usual is due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, fans shouldn’t be alarmed as the Jags undoubtedly will have their class all signed by training camp, which is set to take place on July 28.
Last year, the Jags last 2019 class signee was linebacker Quincy Williams (on June 12), who actually signed his deal after first round pick Josh Allen (May 23). Both deals were for four years.
As for the Jags current class, linebacker Shaq Quarterman, tight end Tyler Davis, and receiver Collin Johnson are the only three of 12 rookies to sign. That leaves nine to be taken care of before the season.
The Jags’ full 2020 class selections were as follows:
Round 1, pick 9: CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
Round 1, pick 20: K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU
Round 2, pick 42: Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado
Round 3, pick 73: DaVon Hamilton, DT, Ohio State
