Minnesota traded for Yannick Ngakoue by giving up a second- and conditional fifth-round pick that could go as high as a third-round pick.
The conditional fifth becomes a fourth if Ngakoue makes the Pro Bowl. And that’s exactly what some Jaguars fans want to make sure happens.
“Pro Bowl ballots out today. Be sure to go vote in Ngakoue!” a person wrote on the subreddit r/Jaguars.
And of course the Packers subreddit got in on trying to vote Ngakoue into the Pro Bowl…
“Jags fan asking for your help in screwing over the Vikings by voting Ngakoue to the Pro Bowl,” one post said in the Packers subreddit. The post had over 2,000 upvotes at the time this story published.
If Ngakoue ends up making the Pro Bowl and the Vikings have to give up a better pick, it might serve as a reminder of how flawed Pro Bowl voting is and how you probably shouldn’t include Pro Bowl voting in the conditionals of trades. Oh well.
