The Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2021 season was set to come to an end on Sunday, but Jaguars fans weren’t going to let the disappointing year fade away quietly.
In the build-up to the Week 18 game against the Colts, Jaguars fans changed their social media avatars to a clown emoji with the mustache of owner Shad Khan. It was all to encourage the owner to fire general manager Trent Baalke, who has been dreadful in his first full season on the job. To make that point even clearer, fans showed up to the game dressed as clowns.
But even those without clown costumes were still in on the protest. Just check out how one of those in-stadium trivia segments went:

This fan was selected to participate in a trivia challenge and guess a player based on a few clues. Instead of going with one of the three choices, this fan improvised and said, “D … Fire Baalke.”
I mean, just amazing. This fan got the “Fire Baalke” message to go over the PA system at TIAA Bank Field. And as you can hear from the video, she told her husband and friends that she was going to do that too. They were waiting for it to happen.
That’s how you get a message sent to ownership.
