Jags hire former Giants HC Ben McAdoo to fill QB coach vacancy

According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan and Dan Graziano, the Jaguars will be hiring Ben McAdoo to be their quarterback coach, who was formerly the head coach of the Giants from 2016-17 McAdoo, 42, hasn’t been in the league since December of 2017 when he was fired by the Giants. He initially interviewed with the Jags for their offensive coordinator vacancy. McAdoo will specifically be tasked with coaching up veteran Nick Foles and second-year quarterback Gardner Minshew II, who will have a competition this offseason to start+ McAdoo ended up being the Giants’ offensive coordinator in 2014 under former Jags executive and head coach Tom Coughlin. A year later he was promoted to head coach, going 13-15.
