Jags fans collectively donate to Trevor Lawrence’s wedding registry, charity of his choice

The Jags fanbase has outdone themselves again, but this time it’s for the sake of charity and their future quarterback.

It’s been a while since the Jacksonville Jaguars had a player they could call a franchise quarterback, and Trevor Lawrence’s potential indicates he could be that guy. As the football community is well aware of by now, the team is undoubtedly going to select him first overall and fans of the franchise eagerly awaiting that moment.

While that moment won’t happen until April 29, Jags fans have already found a way to express their excitement for Lawrence’s pending selection while also proving they are one of the most underrated fan bases in the league. With the Clemson star announcing that he’s getting married this weekend, Twitter user @E_Dilla decided to rally up the Jags’ fanbase and donate to Lawrence’s wedding registry. However, his plans to simply garner enough money to get a $300 smart toaster snowballed into donations far surpassing that to a current figure of over $5,600.

With the Jags’ fanbase far exceeding the initial amount, E_Dilla announced that the money would go towards the smart toaster and a Dyson vacuum cleaner. He also stated that the rest would go to a charity of Lawrence’s choice.

Knowing what we do about Lawrence, he’s undoubtedly going to choose a great cause to send the donation to. We’d also like to congratulate him and his fiancé Marissa Mowry and welcome them to Duval in advance.
