The Jacksonville Jaguars made roster transactions for the second consecutive day by claiming former Las Vegas Raiders defensive tackle Daniel Ross off waivers. However, before he can join the team he will be placed on the Jags Exempt/Commissioner Permission list until he clears the NFL’s COVID-19 testing and screening protocols.
Ross entered the league through the AFC South as an undrafted player from the Houston Texans and spent his tenure there on practice squad. Additionally, he also was a practice squad player for the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, and Dallas Cowboys as a rookie.
Ross has participated in a total of 19 games since entering the league though he was on injured reserve last season. Three of those games were with the Raiders this season while the other 16 were with the Cowboys (2017-18).
The third-year player will enter his tenure in Jacksonville with 24 total tackles and two sacks. Five of those tackles occurred this season with the Raiders as he saw the field when they played the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers and New York Giants.
