The Colorado Buffaloes have added another piece to their loaded running back room, this time in the form of former Jackson State Tiger Sy’veon Wilkerson. The 5-foot-9, 205-pound RB has two years of eligibility remaining.
It has been a whirlwind of an offseason for Wilkerson, as he originally entered the transfer portal after Deion Sanders left JSU for Colorado. He then announced he was staying at JSU but ultimately re-entered the portal on April 17.
All was quiet until Wilkerson was spotted in a summer conditioning video. Any doubt was then erased on Friday as Wilkerson met with Darius Sanders in a Reach The People YouTube video and confirmed he’s a Buffalo.
Brian Howell of BuffZone also confirmed Wilkerson’s arrival.
Last season, the power RB rumbled for 1,152 yards and nine touchdowns for the Tigers.
