Jackson State transfer Amari Ward considering reunion with Coach Prime

A former Jackson State offensive lineman is considering a reunion with Coach Prime

Another former Jackson State Tiger could soon be making their way to Boulder.

About one month after entering the portal, JSU transfer Amari Ward announced on Wednesday his top three destinations, which included Colorado, Bethune Cookman and Tusculum, a Division II school in Tennessee. That’s a wide-ranging list, to say the least, and the freshman offensive lineman has plenty to consider as he contemplates his future.

Ward took a redshirt during his lone season at Jackson State and since entering the portal, he received other offers from Kentucky State and Livingston.

The Florida product was unranked by 247Sports coming out of Lake Wales High School, but he has, however, made a seemingly strong impression on Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Here’s what Ward told BuffStampede’s Adam Munsterteiger back in May soon after he received his Colorado offer:

“I looked Colorado up online and it is a beautiful campus,” he said. “My stepmom’s sister lives there (in Colorado Springs). So, if I do attend Colorado, it would be another home for me, honestly, because my auntie will be there.”
