KNOXVILLE — A former Knoxville Central High School player is coming home to finish his career with the Vols.
Jackson Greer, a former Bobcat during his high school days, is transferring to the University of Tennessee.
He announced his decision via Twitter on Sunday.

“First, I’d like to thank every coach that reached out to me and showed me interest during this recruiting process,” Greer said. “With that being said I am coming home to play my last year of college baseball.
“Thanks to Coach [Tony] Vitello and his staff for giving me this opportunity! Ready to get on campus and get to work! Go Vols.”
The catcher played for East Tennessee State and hit .319 as a junior in 2019 for the Buccaneers. He started all 55 games for ETSU during his junior campaign.
The future Vol will enroll at UT as a graduate transfer.
