Freshman phenom Jace LaViolette adds another accolade to his young Aggie career after being named to the Freshman All-America Team by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. The 6′-6″ 230-pound Katy Tompkins product got off to a slow start before he got the hang of college baseball.
However, as the season progressed, he started to find his swing and produce highlight-type hits. He closed out his freshman campaign leading the team in Home Runs, OPS, RBI, and SLG%.
The sky is the limit for this young power hitter, and the SEC pitchers have been put on notice that if they throw a lazy pitch, it will be knocked into a different zip code. His growth this year has been a joy to watch for the Aggies, and this certainly will not be the last All-American team he makes.
