Jabari Smith is now the clear favorite at No. 1 overall after Magic win lottery

The odds for the No. 1 overall pick have notably shifted a day after the NBA draft lottery.

Tuesday’s 2022 NBA Draft Lottery came and went without too many surprises.

There was a little bit of movement, though. The Sacramento Kings, owners of the seventh-worst record in the NBA, landed the No. 4 overall pick. Besides that, three of the teams with the league’s four worst records earned top-3 picks.

Similarly, there was a little bit of movement in the NBA Draft odds at Tipico Sportsbook. Twenty-four hours later, Jabari Smith’s odds to join the Orlando Magic with the first pick have gotten shorter while Chet Holmgren and Paolo Banchero established themselves among the top three picks on the board.

Player May 17 May 18
Jabari Smith -115 -160
Chet Holmgren +115 +135
Paolo Banchero +300 +450
Jaden Ivey +3000 +3000
Shaedon Sharpe +6000 +5000

Shaedon Sharpe also moved up a little bit from +6000 to +5000, though his chances to be picked by the Orlando Magic still remain slim.

Oklahoma City and Houston own the second and third picks, respectively.
