Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant checked in on the organization’s G League affiliate Saturday night as the Memphis Hustle hosted the Austin Spurs.
The appearance by Morant is the second this season he has pulled up to a Hustle game, who play about 15 miles south of Memphis in Southaven, Mississippi. Morant also met up with former Grizzlies player, and current Hustle player development coach, Tony Allen.
Morant was treated to a victory as the Hustle defeated the Spurs, 119-109. Jarrod Uthoff led the Hustle with 25 points, eight rebounds and six assists while guard Dusty Hannahs had 22 points in the victory.
The Hustle are 2-0 this season when Morant is in attendance after defeating the Santa Cruz Warriors on Jan. 13.

As for Morant, the Grizzlies return to action on Sunday night against the Phoenix Suns.
The Grizzlies are 8-2 over their last 10 games after defeating the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. Morant finished with his seventh double-double of the season with 16 points and 12 assists.
Morant is averaging 17.4 points, 7.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 39 games.
