Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant closed out scrimmage play on Tuesday ahead of the season restart by recording a double-double during a 128-110 win over the Miami Heat.

Morant scored 22 points, 12 assists, three rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes of work. Morant was efficient during the win, shooting 9-of-15 from the field and 2-of-3 from 3-point range. He finished off scrimmage play by averaging 15.3 points, 9.7 assists and three rebounds.

Morant seemingly improved in each game played as the Grizzlies fine-tune things ahead of the season restart this week. He struggled to shoot in the first game on Friday but bounced back strong and shot 53.3% from the field over his last two games.

While Morant showed out, fellow rookie Brandon Clarke turned in yet another efficient outing. Clarke recorded 11 and seven rebounds on 5-of-6 shooting from the field off of the bench as the Grizzlies will head into the seeding games on a high note.

The Grizzlies will now have two days off before beginning the season restart Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers. The matchup will be crucial as the Trail Blazers trail them by 3.5 games and they look to separate themselves from the rest of the teams in the standings.
