Ja Morant will hit the court on Monday afternoon in the new Nike Adapt shoes as the Memphis Grizzlies prepare to host the New Orleans Pelicans on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The Adapt shoes by Nike are a platform that creates a custom fit by combining an advanced power-lacing system, an app and continually updated firmware. The shoes can be useful for players as feet can often increase by up to a half-size during a game as the shoe will automatically adjust.
The Grizzlies are hosting their 18th Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration Game as the NBA has prioritized playing basketball in Memphis on the holiday for the city’s role in civil rights history.
