The NBA on Saturday unveiled the full media ballots for each member that voted in the end of season awards and revealed that sportswriter Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times was the lone voter that didn’t select Ja Morant as the 2019-20 NBA Rookie of the Year.
Morant received 99 out of a possible 100 first-place votes in the final voting results with the only other vote going to Zion Williamson. Morant was viewed as the favorite to win the award after averaging 17.6 points, 6.9 assists and 3.5 assists in 59 games played before the season shut down on March 11.
The second overall pick reacted to the full voting results by logging onto Twitter and asking Cowley why he didn’t vote him as the Rookie of the Year, something he said he would do when he accepted the award earlier this month.

Morant was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month three times this season and led all qualified rookies in scoring and assists while he shot 49.1% from the field. He was widely considered to be the Rookie of the Year and nearly won it unanimously as a result.
Cowley had not yet responded to Morant as of this posting.
