The CONCACAF Nations League final rematch will be taking place one game sooner than expected.
The U.S. men’s national team will face Mexico not in the final, but rather in the semifinal, after Nations League group play concluded on Tuesday night.
The game between the USMNT and Mexico will be a rematch of the 2021 final, which was won 3-2 by U.S. in an epic match that went into extra time.
This year, the USMNT finished atop Group D and earned the top seed in the semifinal. Mexico, the Group A winner, finished with the fourth seed and will therefore face the U.S. in the last four.
Meanwhile, Group B winner Panama earned the second seed and will face third-seeded Canada, the Group C winner, in the other semifinal.
This year will see the semifinals and final take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The U.S. and Mexico will meet two months prior to the Nations League semifinal as well, as the two countries face off in Arizona on April 19 in the inaugural Allstate Continental Clásico.
