He maintains an indomitability that is utterly remarkable considering the history he’s seen and lived — but perhaps not surprising when one takes into account that he serves on the boards of major corporations and is professor emeritus at the Harvard Business School, where he was senior associate dean running the MBA program. So while he sees the images of Black people dying at the hands of law enforcement and shudders at the inhumanity, he is heartened by the widespread response from the larger populace.
