“It’s something I always wanted to do,” Cook said of the project. “And I think it’s time for our city to start getting the recognition and the credit it deserves for producing a lot of great African Americans. Not just athletes. Everything. “If you look at the guys in the NBA, guys that we followed, guys that are from the area, one thing I can say is, there’s no quit in none of us. There’s no quit,” Cook continued. “We’ve all been through something basketball-related, health-related, real-life, just everything, and we made it through, never quitting and just believing in ourselves. That’s something that’s different about us. It’s got to be in the water.”
